Stunning, hand carved antique Foo Dog is made of genuine cherry amber (has been tested and proven to be real , and not treated), and was carved by a master—the detail is incredible, with some of the finest, tiniest carved lines I've ever seen! This particular Foo Dog is a female, so her mate is probably out ther somewhere, since they were almost always made in pairs. She has a perfectly round, hand carved ball in her mouth. This piece of amber is reddish-brown, and has inclusions (impurities/foreign bodies) that can be seen with the naked eye, especially in the head. Hold it up in front of a strong light, and you can see them all. An outstanding piece!
